Apple is holding only one event in the second half of 2022: its iPhone 14 launch show. This meant that a bunch of expected devices, from Macs to mixed-reality headsets, never saw the light of day. But that may soon change.
That’s because rumors are swirling that Apple is planning a product extravaganza this spring where it will unveil a host of new devices to the world. If this is true, what should we expect to see? Well, you are in the right place to find out, as we have gathered all the latest rumors right here. Wondering what’s next on Apple’s 2023 calendar? Read on to find out.
mixed-reality headset

After years of delay, rumors about Apple’s mixed-reality headset are gaining momentum. With the launch of the Meta Quest Pro and the announcement of the HTC Vive XR Elite, now seems like the perfect time for Apple to step into the fray. And right at the same time, it looks like Apple is planning to reveal the secret. The long-awaited device is due in the spring or possibly in June just before its Worldwide Developers Conference.
The device is expected to come with a plethora of impressive specs including a high-resolution display, hand- and eye-tracking capabilities, a large array of cameras, and a much more lightweight design than its competitors.
Given all that technology, a price tag of around $2,000 to $3,000 is suggested. It will be expensive, but not too surprising considering the niche, which clearly targets a demanding audience.
14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro

Apple has a habit of releasing new MacBook Pro models in the fall, but it broke the cycle in 2022 and released no Macs in the final quarter of the year for the first time since 2000. This means newer versions. The 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro are overdue.
It would seem strange to see these devices updated in the spring, but it would not be without precedent. For example, in May 2020 Apple announced a facelifted 13-inch MacBook Pro, but it was done through a press release. Launching the new MacBook Pros at a spring event, though? This is almost unheard of. Still, with these devices being upgraded and rumours, we can’t rule it out.
Either way, we’re not expecting drastic changes to the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro. They’ll get new chips – the M2 Pro and M2 Max – but don’t expect much more than that. Things like chassis design changes and better display feel are unlikely to materialize so soon after the last redesign.
Apple Silicon Mac Pro

Nearly every Mac has at least one model that’s powered by an Apple Silicon chip—except the Mac Pro. we know A new version is coming as Apple admitted as much in March 2021 at its Peak Performance event. With that show nearly a year past, though, an upgrade to the Mac Pro should be imminent.
That means it’s almost certain to be a rumored spring event. Still, it can be a disappointing device after such a long wait. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple has abandoned its M2 Extreme chip that was made specifically for the Mac Pro, and will use an M2 Ultra chip instead, which means the Mac Pro will come from the Mac Studio. Wouldn’t be more powerful. With no upgradeable memory and no new chassis design, the Mac Pro will be a tough sell given its sky-high price.
15 inch macbook air

Apple hasn’t strayed from the familiar MacBook Air formula in either the 11-inch or 13-inch sizes. However, that may soon change, as there are rumors that Apple has a big The 15-inch model is in the works.
Specifically, the 15-inch MacBook Air will get a 15.5-inch display, according to industry analyst Ross Young. Most other details are shrouded in mystery for now, but we’d expect the device to be identical to the existing 13-inch MacBook Air in almost every way.
This means we should expect the same chassis design, the same display (only bigger), and the same M2 chip. There’s a chance the 15-inch model will get the M2 Pro chip, but that’s still up in the air (sorry). Rumors are pointing to it coming later in the year, but you never know – that could change depending on which chip it uses.
m2 mac mini

While the Mac Pro hasn’t yet switched to Apple Silicon chips, the Mac mini is at the halfway point. There are of course Apple silicon models with the M1 chip, but there is still a version Very old Intel processor. that sounds weird.
Fortunately, there are strong rumors that Apple is going to correct that at the spring event by updating the Mac mini to the M2 and M2 Pro chips. This means that the anachronistic Intel model will finally be ditched.
The rumors are a bit uncertain as to what else we can expect. While Gurman and Apple leaker Jon Prosser have claimed a new design is in the works, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said chassis will remain the same,
Aside from the M2 news, rumors about any other aspect of the Mac mini have been few and far between. That could suggest it’s going to be a small, iterative update – so don’t be surprised if it gets new chips and not much else.
new 27 inch display

Young believes that Apple has a new monitor up its sleeve that will boast both Mini-LED and ProMotion technologies. Those features are absent in both the Studio Display and the more expensive Pro Display XDR, and could make the new monitor an irresistible prospect for its target audience.
homepod 2

The original HomePod was a fine piece of kit, but it had one serious problem: It was too expensive. or rather unless there was a cheaper alternative The HomePod mini came out two years later. Apple seems to have given up on the big HomePod when it shuts down in 2021, but rumors say it’s going to make a comeback at the rumored spring event.
According to Kuo, HomePod 2 will take the same form factor as the first model. Gurman has also said that we should not expect “anything revolutionary”. Still, he believes the device will get a refresh this year with a new touch panel, the S8 chip from the Apple Watch Series 8, and a lower price. That last point just might be enough to give it a better run than the first one.
